BRITCHINS:

Our britchins are designed to provide maximum saddle support, stability, and strength. We recommend the use of britchins whenever steep terrain is to be traversed on horses, and at all times on mules. Best results are obtained when britchins are used in combination with breast collars. A crupper ring must be installed on the saddle for attachment of the britchin. These britchins are made from premium harness leather. The hardware on the britchins is stainless steel. The attachment tabs are furnished with the britchins. The tabs are made from lighter material than are the britchin quarter straps. This is to provide a breaking point in the
event of a hangup. If you are riding a single rigged
saddle, instead of a double rigged saddle, simply
make longer tabs accordingly. Longer tabs will be
furnished upon request.

CRUPPERS:

For those who prefer a crupper instead of a britchin, we've got 'em. Our cruppers are made from premium harness leather and have stainless steel hardware for durability. There are two styles of cruppers offered. A single snap crupper, & a double snap, or forked crupper. You'll need to have a crupper ring installed here also for the single snap crupper. The double snap crupper attaches to the rigging rings on the saddle. Attachment tabs are furnished with each double snap crupper. Please state the length of tabs you would like furnished in the special instructions box during checkout.
